Botanical name: Melaleuca Ericifolia
Rosalina essential oil is yet another splendidly beneficial member of the Melaleuca (myrtle) family native to the outback of southeastern Australia.
It shares some of the same constituents as Eucalyptus, Tea Tree and Lavender, and is often substituted as a more pleasant smelling Tea Tree essential oil. It also provides the relaxing benefits of Lavender. It soothes skin irritations and bites and is utilized in a variety of therapeutic blends in its native Australia. It blends well with other essential oils and adds a gentle floral note.
The essential oil is produced by distillation of the leaves.
