An exquisite essential oil that heals and protects, Helichrysum-Italicum is considered to be the strongest anti-inflammatory essential oil in the aromatherapy world. Helichrysum-italicum a great addition to any essential oil collection. It is used as a natural pain reliever because of it's strong anti-inflammatory properties.
 
Helichrysum italicum also proves very effective in the treatment of rosacea and other inflammatory skin conditions.  Redness, skin flushing, acne, dermatitis, allergic skin breakouts and general skin inflammation are soothed and calmed by the inflammation modulating and harmonizing properties of this oil. It’s very effective at gently supporting the skin’s return to its natural healthy state.
 
Helichrysum is sometimes called Immortelle or Everlasting, since it is among the wide variety of ‘straw flowers’. Native to the Mediterranean, this essential oil comes from northern Italy; which is considered a premier growing region for this plant. Helichrysum is a flowering plant of the daisy family (Asteraceae). It grows up to about 2 feet in height and blooms pretty yellow flowers. There are more than 500 species of Helichrysum.
