Peppermint
Botanical Name: Mentha Piperita
Origin: Japan
One of the strongest essential oils for its strong cooling properties. (Use with care)
Peppermint is the "let go" oil and is used in many pain blends. Just like actual peppermint roots do not grow very deeply, this oil effects the skin on a superficial level, allowing one to let go and release pain, both physical and emotional pain.
Helps ones dealing with grief.
A cross between a number of wild mints, Peppermint was first widely discovered in the 17th century. The plant grows up to 3 feet and has purplish stems and pale-violet flowers. The entire plant is put through a steam distillation process to extract the oil which pairs well with resin essential oils.
