Sometimes, our days blur together and we begin to feel a bit scattered. Perhaps you have to cram for a final exam, finish a project or simply stay alert through the day. Moroccan Rosemary is known as the “herb of remembrance” because of its ability to powerfully stimulate the mind.
Rosemary dates back to the Ancient Egyptians, Romans and Greeks who all considered it sacred. It was also widely used to cleanse the air and prevent sickness from spreading.
Native to the Mediterranean coastline, Rosemary is a shrub that grows up to 6 feet tall. Its name means “dew, sea” from the Latin words “ros” and “marinus” which refers to Rosemary sprouting along the sea. To extract the essential oil, the leaves, twigs and flowers are put through a steam distillation process.
